I have a small quantity of original LIve Pigeon Shooting tokens which were used at the Eltham Shooting Grounds of E. J. Churchill gunmakers in about 1907. There are two types - the larger ones which appear to be made from ivorine or Xylo and the slightly smaller ones which are made from bone. Excellent condition and a great example of early trap shooting memorabilia.

A very rare 19th Century captin for Enfield percussion caps. The lid is marked in French Which translates into " percussion caps of war with four wings " perfectly describing the top hat Enfield cap. The tin of caps was made in Liege in Belgium presumably for the Belgiam made Enfield rifles. Good condition. Sorry but I can't post the caps so I would have to remove these.

An unusual screwdriver or turnscrew which is mounted on a stirrup and swivels to provide two blade choices. Stamped with the War Department broad arrow. Good condition with some wear on the shrter turnscrew blade and a wobble when the screwdriver blade clicks into place. Measures 3 1/4" with the shorter blade extended. I am not sure whether this was an armourer's pocket turnscrew or for some other purpose.

A good quality 10B cartridge magazine for pinfire or centre fire cartridges. The magazine opens at both ends and has the capacity for 16 cartridges at each end making 32 in total. Made of black grained leather, lined in red leather and with metal tubes for the cartridges. This is stamped with a trademark which I can't indentify. Very similar to the one shown on page 20 of the James Dixon 1883 catalogue. Shown with a 10B pinfire cartridge which is not included in the sale. Good condition with some wear from use.

A very rare 19th Century Maleham Patent game counter in solid nickel silver. You press the knob at the top and the dial clicks on once at each press. Charles Maleham was a 19th Century gunmaker in Sheffield who patented a number of shotgun actions and shooting related inventions. This pattern is shown in the James Dixon 1883 catalogue - see the photo for the relevent page. This example is unamed but of high quality - probably made by Dixon or one of the other skilled silversmiths in Sheffield but for some unknown reason not stamped with the makers name - was this because of a patent infringement? Excellent condition.

An extremely rare combination nipple key and rammer for a pepperbox or transitional revolver. The nipple key has two prongs for the type of pistol nipple with two slots and the rammer has a concave domed end to support the bullet. I have never seen one like this before. Very well made and obviously intended for a better quality revolver of some kind. Good condition.

A very rare accessory for the Martini Henry .577/450 rifle which is described in a Bonehill gun catalogue dating from the 1880's as a barrel cooler. The photo of the catalogue shows how it is used. The mouthpiece is bone and the metal part is nickel plated. The flexible rubber tube has been replaced with a contempory cloth covered rubber tube of correct pattern but the cloth woven covering is fraying at the ends. A very rare accessory for the keen Martini rifle collector or shooter.

A very rare pair of ivory Life Members passes for the National Rifle Association issued to a man and wife Mr. and Mrs. A. Rosling dated 1905 and 1911. Interestingly Mrs. Rosling's pass is the earlier of the two. They are made from ivory and hand engraved with the NRA badge and the Life Members name. They are also signed in ink by the Secretary of the NRA at the time. I would think that female Life Members passes dated from the early 1900's are relatively scarce and even rarer when sold with the husbands pass. Excellent condition and a rare opportunity to obtain a family group of NRA passes.
